• Ajomäärä: Mercedes-Benz A-sarja -autoilla on ajettu keskimäärin 22 % vähemmän kuin samojen vuosien henkilöautoilla yleensä. Vertailussa on otettu huomioon autojen ikä.
• Yleisyys: A-sarja on 10. yleisin malli 98 mallin joukossa luokassa keskikokoinen (C).
• Ikä: Autot ovat keskimäärin 3,2 vuotta uudempia kuin luokan autot (14,4 v).

Vikakohteiden jakauma on lähellä saman ikäisten autojen keskiarvoa. Kohteessa alusta ja kori vikoja on puolestaan selvästi vähemmän (0,5 vs. 3,3 sataa katsastusta kohden).

A-sarja takaisinkutsut

EU:n Safety Gate -järjestelmään on vuodesta 2015 kirjattu 62 Mercedes-Benz A-sarja -mallia koskevaa takaisinkutsua, joista 6 viimeisen kolmen vuoden aikana. Takaisinkutsu ei koske jokaista autoa: tarkista oman autosi tilanne merkkihuollosta valmistenumerolla.

  The length of the brake hoses on the rear axle is incorrect. The rear axle’s brake hoses can come into contact with surrounding components, chafe over time, and leak brake fluid. This can lead to reduced braking performance in one of the two brake circuits and increase the risk of accidents and injuries.   A gasket is lacking between the exhaust manifold and the exhaust gas turbocharger. This can lead to hot, unpurified exhaust gas seeping out between the turbocharger and the manifold. This can damage the cylinder head cover and cause an oil leak. If the oil come into contact with hot engine parts, the vehicle can catch fire.   The pyrofuse casing may move while the vehicle is in motion, potentially damaging cables. As a result, the pyrofuse could fail during an accident or cause the separator piston to dislodge into the driver’s footwell, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, in plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles, cable damage could lead to high-voltage system failure and loss of power without warning, increasing the risk of an accident.
